AWARD CATEGORIES

There are two types of CLF LABS Award Categories:

i.        Youth-Led Informal Groups

ii.      Youth-Led Project-in-Partnership

iii.    Ad-Hoc Short-Term Project

  • Youth-Led Informal Groups and Youth-Led Project-in-Partnership

Application is open throughout the year, and evaluated at four intervals.  Project teams need to submit a proposal along with the grant application forms. Within 4 weeks of application, project teams will be invited to present and discuss their ideas to the Steering Committee.  The final proposal must be submitted within 2 weeks after the presentation.

  • Youth-Led Project-in-Partnership

Application is open throughout the year, and evaluated at four intervals.  Project teams need to submit a proposal along with the grant application forms.  Endorsement and matching grant notice from partner organization must be obtained before submission of CLF LABS.  Within 4 weeks of application, project teams will be invited to present and discuss their ideas to the Steering Committee.  The final proposal must be submitted within 2 weeks after the presentation.

  • Ad-Hoc Project

Project team is required to submit a finalised proposal together with the CLF LABS Grant application form at least 6 weeks before the start of the project.  A meeting with the CLF LABS Secretariat will be held to present the concept.  The application period is open throughout the year.  All Ad-Hoc projects must be completed within a period of 6 months effective from the date of approval of proposal.

  • Innovative and different
  • Touch the hearts and minds of youth
  • Funding of up to $2500 is available to run projects

 

  • Looking for a pilot project that has more sustainable focus
  • As seed funding for the pilot project, a grant of up to $5000 will be made available
  • Project team not affiliated to any organizations
  • Yayasan MENDAKI will support in providing the usage of its facilities where appropriate
  • To encourage CLF partner organizations as well as established organizations working with youth to invest on the young
  • A grant of up to $5000 will be made available
  • Innovative projects with sustainable focus
  • In addition, where organization tops up to the project team up to $2500, CLF LABS will do a dollar to dollar matching to the top up funding as demonstration of confidence to the project
